I am a strong advocate for the commissioning of professional photographers, with in-depth, industrial and commercial experience, who can create stunning images to support your PR and marketing projects. July, being a month where many are celebrating space exploration, I decided to go and view the excellent Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition at the World Museum in Liverpool.
The images are simply spectacular. The competition is organised by the The Royal Observatory Greenwich and judged by a panel of experts drawn from the arts and astronomy.
All the images are breathtaking, some created by keen amateurs with comparatively basic equipment. Like the moon landings, they simultaneously confirm our insignificance in the universe and also our genius at being able to capture images of far-away planets, stars and galaxies.
If you happen to be in or around Liverpool it is well worth the visit – in fact it is worth the journey even if you are not in the area!
The exhibition runs to September 1st. Sneak a preview on YouTube: https://youtu.be/WiHYLX8MKgs
