UK Heat Treatment and Hard Coatings Specialist, Wallwork Group, to Exhibit at International Paris Air Show
Wallwork Group will arrive at Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Hall 1, Stand 1000, with a clear message for aerospace manufacturers: more capacity, more capability and greater confidence in the supply chain.
The company’s investment in a second Quintus Technologies hot isostatic press (HIP) is a major talking point at this year’s show. Doubling HIP capacity and strengthening process continuity for customers across the UK and Europe. For aerospace manufacturers under constant pressure to improve performance, reliability and throughput, Wallwork is offering a stronger and resilient thermal processing partner.
Visitors to their stand will see how Wallwork combines this latest investment with one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolios of NADCAP and AS9100 accredited thermal processing and hard coating services. The breadth of capability means aerospace component manufacturers can place multiple critical processes with a single specialist supplier, simplifying subcontract management and reducing risk.
“Farnborough 2026 is the ideal platform to show how Wallwork is investing in the future of aerospace manufacturing,” said Simeon Collins, Group Director. “Our second Quintus HIP significantly expands capacity for customers, while our full range of accredited thermal processing, surface engineering and brazing services gives manufacturers a dependable single-source partner.”
As the UK’s largest independent aerospace thermal processing and hard coatings specialist, Wallwork has spent more than 60 years supporting the sector. With ITAR compliance, major aerospace prime approvals and a customer-first approach, the company continues to invest in both capacity and service to meet rising demand.
HIP is a vital process for high-integrity aerospace parts, especially components produced by casting, additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy. By applying high temperature and pressure in an inert gas atmosphere, HIP closes internal voids and improves properties such as tensile strength and fatigue performance. The result is stronger, more reliable components for demanding applications including turbine and compressor blades, blisks, disks, structural casings and engine parts.
Beyond HIP, Wallwork offers extensive heat treatment capability across its sites in Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Cambridge. This includes deep-pit furnaces for large components and fifteen vacuum furnaces that help aerospace metals and alloys withstand extreme operating conditions while reducing stresses introduced during manufacture.
The company’s six plasma nitriding units add further flexibility, allowing Wallwork to optimise loading and pricing. Plasma nitriding delivers a low-distortion surface hardening treatment that improves wear resistance and fatigue life. For aerospace components such as landing gear parts, engine components and fasteners, that can translate into longer service life and greater performance consistency.
Wallwork will also highlight its specialist PVD coating capability in Cambridge, where R&D, extensive laboratory resources and UKAS-certified mechanical testing support the development of both bespoke and standard coatings. In addition, its vacuum brazing service delivers clean, high-strength, flux-free joints for complex aerospace assemblies such as honeycomb seals, where precision and durability are critical.
Supporting the technical offer is Wallwork’s dedicated national commercial transport fleet. This gives customers speedy collection and delivery with a single point of responsibility from start to finish.
Farnborough International Airshow 2026 takes place from 20-24 July. To discuss capacity, capability and single-source support for aerospace heat treatments, hot isostatic press, PVD coatings and vacuum brazing, visit Wallwork Group in Hall 1, Stand 1000.
