What is Public Relations?

Business to Business Public Relations

Most B2B public relations programmes support the marketing objectives of a business and are directed towards and conveyed by the media used by current and potential customers. Promoting products, services and problem solving capabilities are often central activities for B2B PR campaigns. Communication strategies can also help a business address issues with other stakeholders such as employee, investor and community relations.

The media is constantly changing. A diverse range of electronic devices are being used to access news information almost in real-time, 24 hours a day. This gives people greater choice in how and when they access information. All business, small, SMEs and large companies, need to convey their messages using all available media news channels (traditional and new) where appropriate. B2B public relations is about communication. It is driven by the objectives of your business and aims to project positive messages to relevant audiences (employees, customers, suppliers, community etc.) to help shape their opinion of and behaviour towards the business to enhance reputation and performance (sales, profitability, market share, etc.).
