ASHTON-U-LYNE ELECTRICAL SAFETY SPECIALIST FORGES CHINA LINKS

A new dedicated sales office in Shanghai has been established by Ashton-under-Lyne based specialist in cable gland and connector technology, Hawke International.  The company will share premises and resources with Chalmit Lighting, Killark and Victor Lighting who are fellow members of the Hubbell Electric Products Group.  Hawke is a leading supplier of electrical safety equipment for hazardous areas to the world energy industry.

Commenting on the move, development director Phil O’Connor explained, “With a population of 1.3 billion people and an annual economic growth rate of nine percent, China is the second largest consumer of petrochemicals after the USA.  This is a growing market where we must provide a high level of local support to encourage the specification and adoption of Hawke products.”    

Hawke cable glands, connectors and terminal boxes are designed to provide safe termination and connection of high medium and low voltage cables for plant and instrumentation in harsh and hazardous environments.
