AUSTRALIAN AND NORTH AMERICAN CERTIFICATION FOR HAZARDOUS AREA CABLE GLANDS Test houses in Australia and North America are the latest to test and certify the performance of Hawke International's cable glands for use with Exd and Exe apparatus. The company has an on-going programme to expand the certification of their hazardous area products to ensure they keep ahead of customers' approval requirements around the globe. The current list includes approvals for Europe (ATEX), USA (UL(), Canada (CSA), Russia (GOST) and Brazil (CEPEL). The new Australian approval follows testing by International Testing and Certification Services (ITACS), who certify the glands for use with flameproof and increased safety equipment. Additionally, Hawke's North American cable glands/connectors have been tested and listed by the Underwriter's Laboratory (UL() for use with AExe and AExd apparatus under the NEC's Class and Zone Hazardous Location structure. This listing supplements Hawke's long established Class and Division approval. Full details of the certification are available on the Hawke web site www.ehawke.com.
