Innovations in Rail Safety and Operations Monitoring from Rowe Hankins - Rail Industries Association Pavilion – Stand 125, Hall 2.2For the first time at InnoTrans , Rowe Hankins will show their intelligent Wheel Flange Lubrications System (iWFL). This has been developed jointly with European market leaders REBS of Germany, with UK retro-fit requirements in mind. With triple positioning sensors and track memory, the system pinpoints precisely where and how much lubrication to apply. Major environmental benefits include reduced rolling energy use, noise and the avoidance of pollution caused by indiscriminate lubrication. Other innovations include a new RCBO for life protection, developed with Eaton Heinemann. This is based on the familiar hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker technology to ensure precise protection, irrespective of environmental influences. Lethal incidents are rare, but a push button enables a trip condition to be simulated so that the RCBO can be tested. Units can be reset immediately. Rowe Hankins i-MAG and MAG-T train speed and distance monitors provide precise speed and distance monitoring. Technical developments enable these devices to provide even more precise measurement and allow retro fitted probes to be installed with greater gap, without affecting performance. DC Switchgear, the full range of Eaton Heinemann hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers and advanced OTMR’s complete the Rowe Hankins stand. Rowe Hankins is co-located with Eaton Heinemann in the RIA Pavilion, stand 125, Hall 2.2. The company is working with technical leaders in the industry to offer systems that improve safety and operational efficiency. Engineers will be on hand to provide more information.
