The illuminated toggle circuit breaker, that allows a tripped breaker to be easily identified and reset, was new at the show. The compact Slimline circuit breaker also made its debut. Rowe Hankins distribute other high quality electrical products for the OEM market. These include their own brand of thermal magnetic circuit breakers and switches and also the Marquardt range of switches. These are available in rocker, pole, snap-action, and push button styles for use in panel building, OEM equipment and appliances. Rowe Hankins have in-house design, test and manufacturing facilities and these play a key role in their ISO 9000 quality assurance system. In-house skills also allow the company to build components into tested and ready-to-assemble modules to enable faster build times demanded by downstream manufacturers. Sharing the stand were Cudis, the domestic power division of Rowe Hankins, showing their innovative CPN range of circuit breakers, consumer units and sockets. These have won strong support from electrical contractors and distributors for attractive styling, safety features and keen pricing. Uploaded: May 15, 2006 More information: HYDRAULIC MAGNETIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS WITH ILLUMINATED TOGGLEThe new illuminated toggle version of Eaton Heinemann’s popular AMR Series hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker was showcased at Electrex by Rowe Hankins. Designated the ACR, the new breaker has a powerful LCD that allows easy identification and reset of tripped units. Colour and switch markings can be varied to reflect the safety regulations or custom of the destination country.Heinemann hydraulic-magnetic breakers are the first choice for reliable, temperature independent, operation in demanding electrical applications. Telecoms, IT data centres, traction, marine, process industries, HVAC and lighting all require precise protection without the danger of nuisance tripping. Breakers can carry one hundred percent of their rated current, even at elevated temperatures. Models are available that comply with a range of time-delay trip curves to meet the precise needs of different electrical conditions. The breakers will even cope with a current in-rush, below their threshold rating, without nuisance tripping. These features minimise unnecessary downtime and interruption of critical processes. Circuit breakers are available in the AMR Series with ratings up to 100A and interruption current ratings up to 10KA to eliminate the need for branch fusing. ACR breakers are already approved by Underwriters Laboratories under UL1077 and 489 and IEC approval is in progress. UK distributors Rowe Hankins are happy to provide technical service and advice on product selection to meet electrical protection requirements for differing applications and environments. Technical information is also available through their web site www.rowehankins.com. Uploaded: May 15, 2006 More information: NEW SLIMLINE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR 1U RACK-MOUNT
Electrex was used by Rowe Hankins to introduce their new 1U Series Slimline, a range
of hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers developed for rack-mount applications. The Slimline promises designers, electrical
equipment manufacturers and end-users increased power density without compromising performance. Manufactured by Eaton
Heinemann it is available exclusively in the UK through Rowe Hankins.
