Breaking the log jam caused by batching components for deburring is key to successful just-in-time production. The new Otec CF Series equipment is compact allowing it to be located right in the manufacturing cell. Being up to 10 times faster than vibro machines and 20 times faster than conventional barrel finishing, means the CF keeps pace with CNC production and so eliminates the need for batching. The Otec CF Series Oil machine further optimizes small parts deburring to match the output from CNC machining by using a compound-oil mixture in place of a compound-water mixture in the finishing bowl. Where traditional finishing required small parts to be degreased, cleaned, dried and accumulated before deburring, the CF Series Oil machine eliminates these time consuming tasks. The oil and media are separated and recovered from the deburred parts, while the oil is filtered and recirculated. Removing the need for a water connection also makes locating the equipment in the cell more flexible.
