ACTIVE HAZARD PROTECTION FROM EASY-FIT GRP PANEL SYSTEM SPEEDS CONSTRUCTION OF LABS, MEDICAL, AND CATERING FACILITIES

A new range of large GRP panels with an active ingredient for bio-hazard reduction has been introduced by plastics fabricator Octaveward. These address the critical need for robust hygiene in medical facilities, laboratories, clinical manufacturing, food process and catering. The large panels are easy to install so fit-out projects are quickly finished and facilities made ready to use.

The panels are effective against a broad spectrum of micro organisms including bacteria, fungi and algae. Bacterial control includes Klebsiella Pneumoniae, E. Coli, MRSA, Salmonella Choleraesuis and other pathogens. Virtually seam free and resilient enough to withstand industrial use, the panels eliminate the gaps found in tiling and are far more attractive than grey stainless steel. Installed in a single fast-track process, the panels save time at the critical fit-out project phase when deadlines become compressed and delays can be costly.

The secret of the Octaveward panels is a compound embedded in the polymer. This means that the antimicrobial action is permanent and is unaffected by cleaning operations. The compound used in the panels is accepted and registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Octaveward's bio-active panels can be fitted to doors where frequent hand contact often causes bacteriological transfer.  Panels can be made with any permanent colour required. This enables colour to be used to signify special hazards or designate particular areas. Text or messages can be permanently embedded in the panels.

The Octaveward hygienic panel system is not an alternative to thorough and effective cleaning programmes. It provides an additional measure of protection between cleaning cycles for critical areas. Full panel specifications and advice on the bacterial control given against specific organisms are available from the company on 01254 773300.
