NEW INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE HVAC DUCTWORK PRODUCTIONA brand new 32,000 square foot, £395,000 factory is nearing completion at Senior Hargreaves' Bury site. The new factory is part of a rolling programme of investment by the company to underpin their position as the UK's largest and most innovative ductwork manufacturer and installation specialists.The new factory brings the total under cover area of the Bury site up to 250,000 square feet. With the adjoining bays it creates an unbroken, adaptable modern workspace of 80.000 square feet. The project has been managed in-house and has taken just 12 months since the first enabling works in August 1999. Senior Hargreaves is part of Senior plc. Four hundred people are employed by the company at Bury, at trade duct shops around the country and on prestige contracts throughout the UK. In recent times the factory has produced specialist ductwork and air handling equipment for projects as diverse as the Millennium Dome, Land Rover paint shop, Manchester Arena and Portcullis House in Westminster. The company is recognised an innovator within its field and pioneered the latest developments in high temperature fire resistant ductwork. "The new factory demonstrates our confidence in the future and is an essential element in upgrading our facilities and ensuring the business has the capacity to meet growing demand," commented works director Kevin McElroy.
