AIRPORT WIN FOR VENTILATION & FIRE RESISTANT DUCTWORK

Senior Hargreaves have extensive airport experience. Previous contracts have included work at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports. The company is also currently engaged in major works at Luton Airport. As the largest specialist ductwork contractor in the UK, with extensive manufacturing facilities and experience of high speed construction contracts, Senior Hargreaves were uniquely able to meet Bristol's special needs.

The Bristol contract pioneers the new form of NEC building contract. This is designed to foster cooperation between parties, ensure contracts are completed on time, within budget and that everyone is fairly compensated for the work they do. Prior to work beginning on site in January the company went through a cycle of preliminary tender, specification revision, and re-tendering.

Senior Hargreaves are the lead package contractor within the building services group, responsible for coordinating the space management of several contractors work. Architects for the project are YRM Architects and Planners of London. Building services were designed by the Bristol office of Ove Arup and Partners and AMEC Construction is the principal contractor. Completion is expected in February 2000.
