Competitive Coding and Marking for Every Need

Euromark provides coding and marking equipment from world-class suppliers to meet every need. The company has a simple philosophy of partnering with best-in-class suppliers to provide customers with coding and marking machines that offer outstanding performance, reliability, value and low overall cost of ownership.

Equipment is backed by experience and sound advice and the company can help with coding and marking solutions along the entire supply chain. Ranges include machines using continuous ink jet (CIJ), fiber-laser, CO2 laser and print and apply labelling technology. Euromark can efficiently and economically mark products, primary packaging, display packs, cases and pallet loads.

series CIJ coding and marking printers offer outstanding value and performance. Engineered for intensive use on production lines, the printers have a class leading speed of 700 m/minute (11.66m/s), exceptional build quality and reliability, low emissions, cost of ownership and convenience. Printing speed is no longer a limitation on line speed, a crucial factor for many FMCG producers.

Vespalase is a new innovation. Capable of permanent marking on even the most difficult substrates, the machines promise long life, minimal maintenance and eliminate on-going material costs. The fiber-laser machine has a projected 100,000 hours working life, with 30,000 hours for the CO2 laser.

Euromark offer Tiflex CIJ printer for direct case marking. Mechanical set-up and programming are simple. Large format case marking including barcodes, logos and graphics in high definition are reliably reproduced for branding and traceability. The elimination of label stock means the Tiflex CIJ pays back on its investment through substantial savings.

For direct print and apply, Euromark’s robust United Barcode Systems (UBS) case coding marking system is ideal for high-productivity and can apply bespoke printed labels to two faces of the carton. Easily customised to each application, the machine has a robust stand which is simple to adjust to meet line requirements and a control unit with versatile and easily programmed software.

Euromark provide complete life-time support from project evaluation through machine supply, service and consumables.

Experts from Euromark and Vespalase will be on hand throughout the show.

Hitachi PXR Combines Fast Continuous Ink Jet Coding and Marking Performance and Value for Money

The Hitachi PXR series continuous ink jet printer range sets new performance benchmarks for CIJ coding and marking. In a challenge to other exhibitors, Euromark maintain that no other machine at the Total Processing and Packaging Show could match the PXR’s speed, quality, reliability, low emissions, cost of ownership and convenience.

On show were the four-line PXR 460 and the two-line PXR 260. With print speeds of up to 700 metre/minute they offer performance that exceeds other CIJ printers by a substantial margin. Many FMCG producers require this performance to sustain high line speeds.

Hitachi machines have many advanced features. Control is via a large touch-screen panel driven by context sensitive software. This makes set-up, reprogramming and fault-finding simple and intuitive. The controls are housed in an ergonomically designed stainless steel cabinet, sealed to IP55 standards and capable of handling harsh environments and deep cleaning.

PXR systems respect the environment. They are fully RoHS compliant. The ink delivery system minimises solvent loss to the atmosphere, has miserly ink consumption and is easily accessed for quick and easy service and maintenance. Daily print head cleaning is not required and heads are automatically cleaned at the end of each cycle in preparation for the next trouble-free start.

Euromark Coding and Marking distribute five models. The PXR D260 and 460W are the workhorses that will meet most needs. Other models major on high speed printing, ultra-fine high quality printing, large-character marking and printing onto dark substrates using pigmented inks.

Vespalase Ensures Permanent Laser Coding and Marking at Lightning Speed

Vespalase is a new division of Euromark specialising in laser coding and marking equipment. The machines address the need for fast, permanent, coding and marking. Low lifetime cost, high reliability and maximum line uptime are key characteristics of Vespalase machines. With no consumables to buy, no routine maintenance and extended service life they attracted a lot of attention among visitors to the TPP show.

The laser marks the product or packaging clearly with codes produced in vector high quality fonts that cannot be removed without leaving evidence. This makes the process especially suited for applications where high-integrity marking is required.

Vespalase lasers mark a range of substrates from paper and card, through to difficult materials like thin film substrates, glass, metal, and foils. They can be programmed to meet a diverse range of coding and marking tasks including text, brand marks, conventional and 2D matrix barcodes, along with many other marks. The clarity and definition of marks is superior to continuous ink jet.

The system is friendly to the environment. The absence of inks and solvents removes any possibility of product or lines becoming chemically tainted and contamination by ink overspray. Power consumption varies from 10 to 100 Watts with water cooling available for high power machines on heavy duty applications.

Set-up is simple, either from the local control station or remotely via a network. Control software is easy to use, being driven through a graphical user interface. The individual marking requirements for multiple products can be stored for quick change over on multi-purpose production lines. A comprehensive range of connectivity options including USB, RS232 and LAN/Ethernet, make integration with other systems simple.

The Vespalase machines are designed for reliability and intensive use. Models embrace both CO2 and Fiber technology and can laser mark at a rate of 1600 characters per second. Tubes in the CO2 laser have a projected 30,000 hour working life rising to 100,000 hours for the Fiber model. With only a single phase connection, Vespalase machines are easy and inexpensive to install and relocate.

Vespalase is keen to help potential users obtain maximum benefit from their investment. The company is happy to conduct trials to establish suitability for each application and is confident that the machines will secure wide acceptance.

UBS Print and Apply Meets the Need for Reliable Traceability Coding and Marking

Inventory control and management is a major logistics issue and barcodes continue to be the primary tool for identification and traceability. At TPP, Euromark Coding and Marking demonstrated the United Barcode Systems (UBS) print and apply barcode machine that simultaneously addresses the need for precision application of barcode labels to two sides of the case or pallet.

UBS print and apply machines are fast, versatile and productive. With a compact footprint and the ability for easy adjustment, UBS units are quick to integrate into existing lines. Critical components such as the label store and control panel are environmentally protected for use in industrial environments. Simple set-up via the PLC based control system assures and high print quality all the time.

The UBS printers can be controlled by a locally located control unit or remotely over a network. Housed in an environmentally protected enclosure local control is via an industrial PC with a touch-screen interface. This has an Ethernet connection for remote control and integration with other plant systems.

Euromark offer full life-time technical support. This includes site evaluation and system specification, set up and programming, consumable supply, service and continuing support.
