Global shop floor manufacturing management software experts Forcam Gmbh have appointed Ainsworth Maguire to help them introduce UK manufacturers to the 4th industrial revolution that is driving productivity in European and USA factories. Ainsworth Maguire will be working closely with Forcam in the UK, based in Middlewich, Cheshire and with Forcam HQ in Germany.
“As an agency specialising in PR for UK industry, it is great to be involved with Forcam and the next stage of industrial progress, especially being based in the North West – the heart of the first industrial revolution,” commented partner, Kevin Ainsworth.
UK manager for Forcam, Charlie Walker said, “Working with Ainsworth Maguire, we aim to get the message to UK manufacturers that the viability of factories in an advanced economy like ours will depend on gaining the competitive advantage that shop floor management software brings at the machine level. In Germany leading auto manufacturers are already boosting productivity by 25 per cent.”
Vincent Post, manager of international marketing and PR for Forcam Gmbh, added, “Factory Framework software is about creating a smart factory – the software monitors key performance indicators of machines, collates and analyses the masses of big data produced and can provide everyone from operators on the shop floor to management teams based anywhere in the world real time decision making reports. David Cameron, said in speech given at CeBIT in March ‘We are on the brink of a new industrial revolution and I want us – the UK and Germany – to lead it’”
“Leading edge is a term sometimes seen as a bit of a cliché in marketing. However, on this occasion, Forcam really are pioneering factory productivity. Their software embraces big data, complex event processing, machine execution systems, in-memory technology, cloud computing, human-machine-interfaces and the internet of things applied to industry. The kind of communication challenge on which Ainsworth Maguire thrives,” concluded Kevin.
